About us

The Desert Sports Foundation’s primary aim is to provide financial assistance to junior athletes, 17 years and under, to contribute toward the cost associated with competing in Territory, National and International events away from Alice Springs.

Through its' many fundraising activities and events, The Desert Sports Foundation - hopes to add to the social cohesion and dynamic lifestyle of all Central Australians

Grants

Currently, Desert Sports Foundation (DSF) grants periods are in March and October each year; however we reserve the right to amend any grant period and to alter guidelines as appropriate.

Our Grants will be open on Monday 2 March and close on Sunday 15 March 2026

Dingo Golden Oldies Rugby Union Club have generously donated $6000 to Desert Sports Foundation to support our work helping to provide financial assistance to junior athletes enabling them to travel and compete in their chosen sport away from Alice Springs.
